From the carriage to the rocket. Funerals: what do we remember and what do we forget?

Tours around Utena

FROM CARRIAGE TO ROCKET.
On October 30th, we invite you to Utena Manor. History, creativity, secrets, and All Souls' Day traditions will intertwine here.

What awaits you?

2:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m. – cozy creative workshops: candle and soap making, textile printing. You will not only be able to try something new, but also take home a beauty created by your own hands.

16:15–17:00 – a mysterious tour with the Mayor in the basement of the Utena Manor. What do the old walls of the manor hide?

5:00 p.m. – meeting with ethnologist, science historian Libertas Klimka and lecture “All Souls’ Day: What Do We Remember and What Do We Forget?” Why did our ancestors celebrate All Souls’ Day differently? What customs did they observe? And what of them is worth preserving today?

Come with family, friends, or just by yourself. Sometimes all you need for a meaningful Friday night is interesting people, good conversations, and a little time to yourself.
