Meeting "When Longing Connects Worlds"

Conversations

As All Souls' Day approaches, the Utena Museum of Local Lore invites you to a meeting "When Longing Connects the Worlds", which will take place on October 28 at 5 p.m. During the evening, we will remember the customs of All Souls' Day and All Souls' Day, their meaning and the old worldview of our ancestors. We will look at the concept of the afterlife through folk traditions and Christian faith. Museumist Raimondas Garsonas, based on the works of A. Žarskus, will tell about old customs and the folk view of the afterlife, and museumist Skaistė Diškevičienė will look at these topics from a Christian perspective. We invite you to pause together, remember your departed loved ones and talk about memory, longing and faith, which help maintain a connection with those who are no longer with us, but who still live in our hearts.

Let's meet at the Utena Local History Museum on October 28 at 5:00 PM.
