Dear friends, last year we traveled around the world together in a hundred minutes and, I have to thank you again – I could only dream of such fellow travelers. This year I want to invite you again to embark on a musical journey together – even better and more interesting. I say this with confidence, because it will be completely LITHUANIAN! Yes, my path this time leads home and we will travel there through the pages of our rich and amazingly beautiful musical history.
These years are special for me, they changed my whole life. Having started a family, I have planted even stronger roots in my native land. And the desire to sing and share quality Lithuanian music with you is very strong.
I hope you will once again become my companions on this new musical journey. I am really looking forward to it.
Sincerely yours – Dainotas Varnas
Birštonas, Utena, Jonava, Ukmergė, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Kėdainiai, Rokiškis, Marijampolė, Alytus, Klaipėda, Anykščiai, Kretinga, Druskininkai, Mažeikiai, Vilnius, Telšiai, Plungė – this is the route that Dainotas Varnas' "The Road Home" will take.
With a carefully crafted, one-hundred-minute LITHUANIAN program "The Way Home", the singer will visit as many as 18 Lithuanian cities. The tour will start in December 2026 and end in January 2027.
For some, the way home means going to their parents' for Christmas, for others, returning to their native district, city, or country. For still others, the "way home" means a spiritual journey of self-discovery.
The singing Varnas will take us home through the history of Lithuanian music. "It won't be boring," promises the singer, who is introducing the new LITHUANIAN program.
The very beginning of the concert will definitely surprise you. The singer Varnas has prepared a piece that is very well-known and personally very dear to the singer himself. And we can bet a million that you will definitely not guess what kind of piece it is.
After the introduction, we will begin our musical journey in the 1960s. We will remember our pop greats Stasis Povilaitis and Antanas Čapas. Both singers are no longer with us, but the songs they performed are inscribed in golden letters in the history of Lithuanian music. “I have had the opportunity to sing together with these outstanding people. I cherish these memories very much, and I will share them with you,” says Dainotas Varnas.
Traveling through decades, on our musical journey we will meet poet Stasis Baltakis, composer Laimis Vilkončiai, the band "Studija", singer Irena Starošaitė and many other personalities who have shaped the history of Lithuanian popular music, whose works will be reinterpreted in their own way by Dainotas Varnas.
We can look forward to more than one newly shining pearl. Already last year, at the concerts "Around the World in 100 Minutes", Dainotas Varnas demonstrated extremely broad vocal capabilities, a sensitive and original approach to music, and respect for the works performed.
The singer will be accompanied by a music group, the performance will use modern technologies that expand the boundaries of music, and the singer promises to use his unique acapella singing experience. "I promise that I will do on stage what no other soloist in Lithuania has done before," he intrigued.
We will not do without interesting personal stories and Dainotas Varnas's well-maintained humor, which very successfully combine different works into a coherent program. The journey to the present day will certainly not be long.
Of course, Dainotas Varnas' own original compositions will also be performed, the exact list of which the singer is not willing to reveal yet. But we can already be sure of one thing - among them will definitely be "Kelias namo". The title song of the entire tour, which started it all.
