When you arrive at the lake, we invite you to follow the principles of lake sophistry – take your time, stop, enjoy the peace, breathe in the fresh air, listen to the sounds of nature, and forget about the daily hustle and bustle, at least for a while.
You can easily diversify your rest with a walk - the Vyžuona heath nature trail stretches right here, leading through a fragrant pine forest and introducing you to the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The historical and cultural face of Vyžuonai
Vyžuonos is a unique town on the Vyžuonos River, the center of the eldership, preserving a deep history and special traditions. Since ancient times, this area has been associated with the pagan god Vyžas, who had the form of a serpent, which is why serpents also occupy an honorable place in the coat of arms of Vyžuonos.
