The mound dates back to the 1st millennium BC. The mound is located on the cape of the Šventoji right bank, on the right bank of the Geniupis River. The site is triangular, elongated in the northeast-southwest direction, 70 m long, 60 m wide in the southwest. The slopes are steep, 8–10 m high. The mound is plowed, tilled, the slopes are overgrown with pine trees. The mound offers an impressive view of Užpaliai and the meanders of the Šventoji River, whoever finds seven of them will be lucky.
The stone lying next to the Lygamiškis hillfort is 2.50 m long, 1.95 m wide, and 1.10 m high. That huge stone is once a golden boat, hidden deep in the hillfort. Many people tried to dig it up, but when the roosters crowed, the brave ones perished. Once, two young, strong men decided to try their luck. Although fairies prevented them and charming beauties talked to them, they dug up the golden boat before the roosters crowed, but they could not stand it and argued - who should get it. And the boat turned into stone...
